    When is IUI advised ?
    1. Ovulatory dysfunction
    2. Sexual dysfunction - dyspareunia/erectile dysfunction etc.
    3. Cervical factor
    4. Mild Endometriosis
    5. Immunological factor
    6. Mild male partner infertility- low sperm count/ low sperm motility
    7. Donor sperm - 3rd party male ART procedure
    8. Unexplained infertility
    9. HIV/HBsAg discordant couple
    What should I expect?
    1. IUI-treatment should begin from her second or third day of menstrual cycle.
    2. A fertility specialist will examine you through an ultrasound scan and recommend the right medicines to stimulate the ovary to develop one or more mature follicles ( each follicle in the ovary may or may not contain a healthy egg).
    3. The growth of these follicles is tracked by serial ultrasound scan.
    4. Once the follicle is ready, a trigger injection is given for egg release & IUI dates.
    5. On day of IUI - male partner's semen is processed by procedures like double-density gadient/MACs/Microfluidics depending on prior Semen analysis & PFI report.
    6. Processed semen sample is placed inside female partners uterus under ultrasound guidance using a thin soft catheter by your doctor.
    7. Post IUI patient can rest for 10 minutes & is then given luteal support medications for 15 days.
